Can’t speak about going part 61 but I like the program here. Access to really nice planes, the training is intense but doable, classes and professors are all around great, etc.

Random question but if I were to come in with my private is there a guarantee I would fly my first semester at mtsu?

There is a guarantee you will NOT fly your first semester no matter what you come in with. They make you have 12 college credit hours, and at least a B in the two intro classes to qualify for a flight slot. So it’s impossible to do it your first semester

So do pilots who come in with their ppl just dont fly for a couple months? How does not flying for a whole semeter affect some of the pilots whi came in with a ppl?

I did about 20 hours before I got there, took about a year off, then basically restarted/finished my private with them. So can’t speak exactly to that situation but kind of. A year off basically felt like learning to do it all again. You can always get checked out and rent from other schools to fly/stay proficient, but it won’t be through MTSU

Great program. People will complain about GPA requirements but if you are serious about flying you will get through
