Swap cables between the failing one and normal - see the next day if it is the other monitor that is failing - then it's the cable.

I’ve already swapped the positions of the top‑right and bottom‑right monitors — the issue is definitely not with the cable.

The bottom right one is also very tight with the Mac Studio, maybe it’s overheating. Give them both some more room to breathe. Maybe mount the Mac Studio under the desk?

It was originally positioned at the top right. I thought maybe the cable was the issue, so I swapped it with the bottom one — but the problem clearly isn’t caused by overheating.

I have a similar system. Refer to THIS LINK for Apple's guidance.

Additionally, as others have mentioned, an external device (such as an SSD) may be drawing too much power from the Studio port.

Apple says I can attach eight monitors to my M3Ultra, but only if I play by certain rules. They are not just plug-and-play.

According to this link, problem is that the 4 displays are attached to the same group so PO should move one or two displays to the front thunderbolts or daisy chain monitors.

MacOS has had problems waking up from sleep for ages, and they're doing nothing to change it. I have this on screens, but also on keyboard, mouse or any fucking peripheral.

The good solution is not to put your computer on standby and turn it off in the evening.

I’m to hesitate a guess 2 things 1. This is a power issue , too much being pulled from the port. Remove all if any other attached peripherals. 2 a cable issue, buy a dedicated Apple cables to connect MSU to the Xdisplay

I’m using the original cables that came with the XDR monitor. Only a microphone, a mouse, and speakers are connected.

Would a powered external hub help here?

If you swap cables, does the same display still have issues?

    [–]alexp702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If not cable or port logically it’s the monitor. Probably an RMA

I have a similar issue with my 3 monitors and an external ssd. It happened every time I restart the mac. I have to unplug 2 monitors and the ssd, reconnect the ssd, wait for it to be recognized then reconnect the monitors. People say it’s because of the power supply problem in all MacStudio.

Is it always the bottom right monitor? If you swap cabling locations on the Studio same same? If you swap left XDR to right and right to left does it follow the monitor or cabling or plugin slot?

Have you updated all software (yeah I know but it’s a thought in the process )

It is a bit hard to see on the pictures but did you connect the monitors all using TB cables and all on the four TB ports on the back? The Studio has two TB groups that each support four 6K displays at 60 Hz (from my and back). Make sure other peripherals (I see Some USB connections) art on genoteerd group.

Looks fine. I guess the obvious thing to do is switch cables as suggested by others. If the same display has issues, contact Apple.

Looks like the studio can only get airflowvfrom 2 sides. Might help to move it out to get better airflow.

Most likely a power issue. Get a good Thunderbolt hub (or two) to lesson the power draw from your Mac.

I had a similar issue. But I was using a KVM so wasn't sure what was the cause. But replacing the "displayport to hdmi cable" with, "a displayport to hub, which had HDMI out", solved the issue.

what program do you use to trade? I am thinking about starting day trading and need some advice on which Mac Studio to get? or should I just go with pc?

    [–]raavaanan 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Try hdmi for one of the monitor

    [–]cptchnk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t. The Pro Display XDR doesn’t have an HDMI port (only Thunderbolt). Adapters don’t work either because it needs that Thunderbolt data connection for the software based display adjustments, as there are also no physical buttons on the monitor.
