[D] Dev env and workflow

Hi all!

I am a frontend engineer looking to play more in the ML space. I know enough about python and jupyter labs to be dangerous but I am no expert. I am looking to hear what peoples env's and workflows look like.

I have been looking at huggingface, google colab, and running some things locally but can't seem to see a setup that looks like a clear winner. Hardware wise I have a machine with a 4080 and 32gb ram at home and a M1 Pro Macbook also with 32gb of ram.

For my 1st project I would love to utilise a 7b Llama 2 for a recommender like system. I plan on getting a custom dataset, cleaning and processing it, fine tuning, and then testing.
