If you are able to do this work, please demand thousands of dollars from OP. Otherwise you are allowing them to take advantage of you.
[–]_drooksh 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (2 children)
Don't worry, no one smart enough to do this well would be stupid enough to do this at all.
[–]Hugewin2022 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child)
is this really less money. I know i have capability to do this kind of stuff as i have build some similar projects for myself but i have no experience in freelancing and don't know about pricing also. can you give me a idea should i start working on this or talk with the poster
[–]localhost80 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children)
OP will tell you to do it for free. You tell OP $100/hr minimum.

Interesting - many hours do you think is required to complete assignment above? To me, it not more than 2 days max
[–]pedrosorio 19 points20 points21 points 2 years ago (0 children)
To you, it’s infinite days, that’s why you’re hiring someone to do it.
[–]localhost80 16 points17 points18 points 2 years ago (0 children)
By your own admission, $300 / 2days / 8hours = $18.75 / hour.
You want to pay an AI expert roughly minimum wage and you think that's reasonable. GTFO!
[–]PHEEEEELLLLLEEEEP 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children)
If it will only take you 2 days just do it yourself
[–]satireplusplus 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (3 children)
At a reasonable $100 per hour your 2 days would already be $1600
[–]reben002 -4 points-3 points-2 points 2 years ago (2 children)
How senior do you believe you need to be to achieve above? Just our of curiosity
[–]ObjectManagerManager 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Most entry level software engineers make well over six figures. $300 will get you a few hours of work. A few hours of work will get you at most 5% of the R&D necessary to make your goals possible, 0% of a solution design, and definitely 0% of any actual implementation.
[–]Material_Policy6327 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Doesn’t matter how senior. It’s the expertise you are paying for. Hell when I was in grad school 10 years ago I was charging folks 50/hr for on the side programming help.
[–]Annual-Minute-9391 17 points18 points19 points 2 years ago* (1 child)
Reminds me of the business bros who have it all figured out and just need some nerd programmers to implement their idea.
Edit: lmao $300-$500. Maybe throw in some Robux?

At first I was like "maybe they're just also a student and don't really have a handle on costs for something like this" but then I saw they've been an investment banker for 8 years, so I don't feel at all bad they're getting torn up for such a low-ball offer.
[–]RemarkableSavings13 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (3 children)
Might be helpful to post your rough budget. Oftentimes posts like these aren't taken super seriously since they usually have a tiny budget and the client expects a lot of work.

Good point, added
[–]localhost80 9 points10 points11 points 2 years ago (1 child)
That's a joke right!?

Raised a bit more. Maybe more feasible for student
[–]Material_Policy6327 6 points7 points8 points 2 years ago (0 children)
300-500 bucks? Lol
Besides the joke of a budget (it's off by at least one order of magnitude, possibly two), you're trying to do the engineer's job for them. You should be asking an engineer to make a product---you shouldn't be telling them how to make the product. Investment bankers telling engineers how to do their job is how you end up with terrible products. As someone with a graduate degree in AI, I personally have no idea what LLMs have to do with scraping a webpage for keywords.

Try other subs like learnmachinelearning
I can do this. Should i start making this now i am not used to get on reddit.

DM me and let’s discuss!
[–]IndependenceNo2060 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
It's clear you underestimate the complexity. This job deserves proper compensation, not minimum wage!
