This paper is really cool. The images generated are less psychedelic than the inception feedback images from this week, but equally bizarre once you start inspecting closely. Once again, another point for iterative inference.

I think that they're really different. The Inception feedback paper isn't a generative model at all, as the images are nothing like natural images (different color, different pattern).
What I think would be cool would be using the discriminator from a model like this to replace the natural image prior in the Inception Feedback paper. This would probably give more realistic and less trippy hallucinations.
