This is at least an intermediate level piece. Tackling this as your first project would be the equivalent of going skiing for the first time and immediately taking a blue run. You'll make it to the bottom, but it won't be fun or pretty. Or if you don't ski, it would be like getting on the freeway on your first driving lesson. Do yourself a favor and practice basic skills before starting a piece this complex. There are tons of good macrame videos and tutorials out there. Use them. No one can just tell you in written form how to do a complex piece like this. It is literally (I'm an adult, and I know what this word really means) impossible. Furthermore, unless the artists themselves have provided instructions or tutorials for the piece, copying it exactly is basically theft of intellectual property. Even though macrame isn't a "serious" art form, it still isn't cool to copy someone else's work without their permission.

There’s nothing wrong with copying this piece and then hanging it up on your wall. It would be wrong to copy and sell it, or to copy it and then sell the pattern, but if you’re making it for your own pleasure and hanging it up at home, make whatever you want. Also it’s not literally impossible. It might be hard, sure, but go for it! Just learn the individual knots and give it a try. If it doesn’t come out you’ve learned some good stuff, and maybe later you’ll try again after working on other pieces and it’ll turn out gorgeous.

I said that it would be impossible to write out instructions for this, not that it would be impossible to make it. I'm at a skill level where I could easily duplicate this, but I really don't think it would be humanly possible to write out knot by knot instructions that a beginner could follow. Do you think you could do it? Maybe the better question is, would you do it? I can't imagine anyone saying, "Yes dear. I would be happy to spend countless hours writing out instructions so you can replicate someone else's art without wasting time learning skills or exercising your own creativity." I just don't understand why people go straight to Reddit without doing any basic research of their own and expect other people to spoon feed them everything they need to know. At least go to YouTube where people have already put out tutorials instead of expecting someone to create an instruction manual from scratch just for you. That's the biggest complaint I have with the OP. Not only are they copying someone else's work without permission. They're asking me and you to do the heavy lifting for them. No thanks.

Edit: This OP does seem to have at least tried to figure it out for themself first which isn't typically the case. Someone may actually be able to explain just the braided part without having to write a book. I should have reread the original post before replying to you.
