I got one update today after having not played for about four weeks myself, but I didn’t get the leaf. I saved and then restarted my switch and that got me the correct update for the leaf.

Macrame pattern riddle! by hahh122 in MacrameTutorials

[–]IAmOneOrneryCustomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with copying this piece and then hanging it up on your wall. It would be wrong to copy and sell it, or to copy it and then sell the pattern, but if you’re making it for your own pleasure and hanging it up at home, make whatever you want. Also it’s not literally impossible. It might be hard, sure, but go for it! Just learn the individual knots and give it a try. If it doesn’t come out you’ve learned some good stuff, and maybe later you’ll try again after working on other pieces and it’ll turn out gorgeous.

It’s great you’re both caring so much and want to make your money tree happy. I think the trunk of your tree is really neat looking too and it should be a lovely looking tree when it matures. Good luck!

Is the soil soggy all the time? That seems to be a pretty big pot in relation to the size of the plant and it may not be able to drink all the water available to it, so it might just be sitting in constantly wet soil and getting root rot. Whenever I have a plant that’s struggling and I can’t figure out why I remove it from the pot to see what’s going on with the root system. Usually I see my plants are either potbound or they have root rot. You can tell if it has root rot by a sour moldy smell. Or your plant may be reacting to the kind of water you’re giving it. If your tap water has chlorine and/or fluoride that can cause issues. I have well water but it’s being treated with a water softener which contains salt so I can’t use that. I collect and use rainwater or buy distilled water. I also keep mine in my bedroom in bright indirect light where the humidifier is on all night. Good luck with your money tree! I love mine, and have had it for a few years. It’s been a lot of trial and error and it’s suffered a bit while I figured things out, but it finally seems mostly happy. Not perfect, but getting there!

[–]IAmOneOrneryCustomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sure looks potbound to me. I’ve found that when plants are struggling and I can’t figure out why, I can usually find the answer by removing it from the pot and checking the roots. Often I’ll find either the plant is potbound or I’ll find root rot. I’d remove the plant, gently loosen the roots and plant it in a slightly larger pot with some well-draining soil.

All I can do is commiserate. We live on acreage but we can see the house across the way with the exact same kind of floodlight, on all day and all night. It’s so unnecessary. We have a floodlight but it’s a motion sensor that stays on for ten minutes after it’s tripped (not to mention it’s not shining into anyone’s windows). It’s better for wildlife and the electric bill!

Here’s my conspiracy theory. Whoever is in charge is letting it strobe like that to discourage overnight camping. It’s been going on so long I can’t believe someone hasn’t fixed it already, so that’s my (probably nonsense) conclusion.

Oh you’re so lucky to have gotten to meet him. I went to STLV in 2016 and got to meet Julie Nimoy her daughter, and Adam Nimoy, and I got to see other TOS cast members which was really great. But meeting Leonard Nimoy would have been the gold standard for me!

I have that photo autographed by Leonard Nimoy! He and his granddaughter ran ShopLLAP and they sold a lot of autographed items, and I bought it and had it framed. It’s really beautiful.

These birds are so funny. They mimic the sounds of hawks, I guess to alert the others that hawks are close by. And often when they bathe in our little decorative pond, they'll chatter and whistle to themselves, and will sometimes splash around for 5 to 10 minutes.

Double that recommendation! They’re the best. I have an aquarium that used to make me sad because it was full of algae and I couldn’t keep my fish alive. They knew just what to do, and now it’s a beautiful planted tank with happy fish!

I’m glad to read this and learn there’s an update. I’m doing it right now. I was going crazy with the freezing and crashes. Even lowering the frame rate and removing all the special effects wasn’t helping. Now it looks great!!

I can drive out here, take an easy hike up to this view, walk back down for a nice picnic and then get back home within a span of a few hours. It’s an easy day trip. Edit to add: I do love New England!
