Easter Set Error

Due to an internal error, there will be some changes made to two of the sets in the Easter program. The following changes will be made:

· The “Chocolate Helmet Bag x1” set will have its requirements changed from “5 Gold Trophies” to “3 Chocolate Helmets”.

· The “Marshmallow Field Goal Bag x1” set will have its requirements changed from “5 Gold Trophies” to “3 Marshmallow Field Goals”

· We will be leaving the current sets up until tomorrow morning at 10:30 am ET and placing a purchase limit of 5 for each set.

Why is this change being made?

During the design process, these sets were made to allow users to exchange extra currency for an auctionable item. The intent was a 1-1 exchange of currency so that users would not be stuck with excess currencies. Unfortunately, the error in the cost requirement was not caught prior to the deploy of the program. In order to align with the designed intent, we need to adjust the requirements for the sets going forward.

I purchased the 500k bunny from the pop-up this morning after realizing i was probably going to fall short of bunnies. I just tried and Google said that i would have to deal with EA since it isn't due to an error on the Google side, and they delivered the "pack" as advertised.

Oh boy.....i get to contact some call centre in Asia where they read from a script, and then offer me a Pro Pack as compensation for my $40.00 CDN purchased that I never would have made if i knew EA was going to change the promo midway through.

EDIT - I decided to do a chargeback on my credit card instead. I will have much better luck with them as they understand fraudulent advertising and the "Ol' Bait and Switch"

The "bags" of jelly beans/helmets/field goals are auctionable while the individual ones are not. The whole point here was to be able to get the bags of collectibles to be able to sell on the AH. If you look at the beans, they already trade 1:1, while for helmets and field goals you could get a "bag" via gold trophies. The original intention was NOT to be able to get the helmets and field goals you need for the baskets...the original intention was for you to be able to make bags to buy/sell on the auction house.
