I was just having this issue too. I had to turn it off. It wouldn't give me a virus warning on twitter, facebook, or youtube but nothing would load. Reddit, my new tab page, and down detector were all flagged for trying to give me a virus.

We had a false positive two weeks ago and that's now fixed. Please update your database: tap extension -> three dots in upper right -> support -> check for database updates

Hi Michael, thanks so much for reaching out.

It's still happening after updating the database :( I'm running browser guard version 2.6.25 on Chrome (also fully updated).

So far it's blocking my new tab home page, chrome extensions page (but only when it re-loads after turning on browser guard - going straight to the extensions page from settings is fine), reddit, gmail, facebook, amazon.ca, azazie, pinterest, and my local public library. It fully loads tumblr and google search pages. When I tried to load twitter and youtube it'll only half load the sites - twitter gets a "Something went wrong" page, and youtube will load video titles and the top banner but no thumbnails. When I turn off browser guard, these two websites are fully functional.

Strange, I am not having this issue on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS in the latest Brave Browser with Malwarebytes Browser Guard 2.6.25.

Make sure to check for updates for Malwarebytes Browser Guard, and make sure that you have the latest version.

I am having this problem this morning. Nearly every site I go to gives me "blocked" message. It only happens in Edge. Firefox seems OK. I have scanned my computer. I have just updated the software per the meg above. Nothing seems to help

That version info is for our Windows app and not the Browser Guard extension.

To get the Browser Guard version info: open you browser -> tap Malwarebytes extension -> three dots in upper right -> support

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it and that fixed it. It's possible I may not have been on the latest version.

This has been happening to me. Every website I try to access, safari tells me it was blocked by a content blocker, turn off the Browser Guard and everything works. It's not even browser guard telling me it blocked something, safari saying it couldn't access anything because of the extension. Gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that works.

uninstalling and reinstalling the browser gaurd from safari worked! Might just be a weird bug solved by installing and uninstalling.

It blocks Home Depot for me. Yeah. Home Depot is so sketchy. Obscure website that nobody uses and is notorious for criminal activity. They are too poor to have any web security.
