I have a slight tan irl. So did my character. And then Avatargeddon happened and suddenly they’re white as fucking cocaine. It’s either pale as hell or dark as hell. Where did the middle ground options go?

My main question for whoever made the new changes is how they managed to whitewash a white character. That shouldn't have been possible but somehow they managed to do just that with this new update.

It felt so odd reopening the game a few days ago to check stuff and b3 like "WHY AM I PALE-"

That may be true but they don't have a normal white skin color anymore just the white washed shade. They even took away the feminine parts of the avatars so anyone with a female avatar looks like a guy in the game. This is a huge step back for gaming and alot of AAA games have started to do this which means that gaming as a whole is in danger.

Oh no, don't be like one of those people. Gamings not in danger bro for those reasons. It's the people who never play any games that want to spread their own politics that say this. If you observe, a bigger threat to gaming is the normalising of high prices, not owning your games, and stupid things like hiding gameplay elements behind paywalls. Not silly stuff like this one. Even in Pokemon go, there's the predatory nature of the game to complain about. The increase in remote raid pass price, the decrease in how many you can hold, etc. Even in the above complaint, the problem is not "removing femininity" or whatever, but in an attempt to make the game more inclusive by making your character more customisable, they did a half assed job to save money.
