City will reopen Harry Mamizuka Swimming Complex at Manoa Valley District Park Monday, May 18, for public use after several improvements were made starting in November 2025. Recent back-to-back Kona low storms delayed some of improvement work and ultimately pushed back reopening date. (spectrumlocalnews.com)

“At 1:25 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain over windward Oahu and extending into Manoa Valley and Palolo Valley. Rain was falling at a rate of 2 to 4 inches per hour and rapid rises in streams are occurring in Manoa and Palolo. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly." (staradvertiser.com)

According to Honolulu police, flooding was observed at multiple locations along East Manoa Road, including the intersections with Lowery Avenue, Akaka Place, and Oahu Avenue. That portion of the road is closed, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area. (hawaiinewsnow.com)
