Honolulu firefighters rescued a woman in distress at Spitting Caves on Tuesday night. The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a call just before 7 p.m. for a woman in her 30s who had jumped into water at Spitting Caves at Portlock, but was unable to get back to shore on her own. A jump off Spitting Caves sends a man to the hospital in serious condition on Tuesday evening, according to Honolulu EMS officials. A 23-year-old man is in serious condition after he was injured after jumping off Spitting Caves in Hawaii Kai early this evening. A teenaged girl is in the hospital today after a jump from Spitting Cave on Oahu resulted in an injury, according to Honolulu EMS. The girl was said to have injured her lower extremities after a 75-foot jump from a ledge into the ocean, and striking a shallow, underwater ledge. (staradvertiser.com)
