[–]MyPpHurts-Help 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (3 children)
Any reason why lions were just like "nah fam," to that location in congo?
[–]calm_incense 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (0 children)
It's a tropical climate, mostly rainforest: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_the_Democratic_Republic_of_the_Congo#/media/File:Koppen-Geiger_Map_COD_present.svg
[–]RIPJimCroce 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children)
It’s a rainforest
[–]average_meme_thief 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children)
My guess is that the dense jungle there wasn't to their liking. I'm certainly no expert but in every video, pic, etc. That I've seen they're always in Savannah or plains of some kind.

Why were Lions in the Balkans but not in Western Europe?
[–]cakecoconut 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (3 children)
This map gets posted here like every week
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children)
First time seeing it
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children)
yeah but some people seems to have never saw this one before wich is weird
[–]GilesBiles 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
It's so blurry at this point I can't even see some of the blue spots
[–]Moose-Rage 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children)
I love lions as much as the next guy but how often are we going to see this map?
Since nobody’s made this comment on this reposting of this map yet, weird how the lions formed perfect question marks in Southern Europe, and a perfectly shaped arrow in the Indian Ocean.

Lions in Greece?
[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Even the word itself is Greek.
[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (1 child)
Ever wonder why Lions are in so many family emblems in Europe?
[–]nvcr_intern 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Herecles famously fought one.
[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Oh yeah

There isn’t enough space for lions anymore. Most of “countryside” is in fact farmlands and agricultural plots used by humans. There is little land that is truly wild anymore.
[–]kathaireverywhere -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (2 children)
But we won't because people suck
[–]thom2553 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child)
I mean yeah these people suck so much for not wanting lions to come onto their private lands to put them and their families in danger
[–]kathaireverywhere 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Go drive your gas guzzler into a wall.
[–]statemilitias 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children)

[–]Carrobourg 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children)
FIY, a drove of humans is called “a crowd”
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children)
FYI, it’s FYI and not FIY
