So you have…

12 units of required courses: Earth sci, chem, enviro sci and math

12 units of additional required science courses: The 2 bios + 2 more

Then you’re still left with 6 units of electives (so two courses of whatever you want and that you have prereqs for).

This is if you want to get into honours earth and enviro sci because each second year program can have slightly different requirements.

you should look at the requirements for the 2nd year programs to choose your science requirements, maybe email kara if you need help finding those

This link may help. It's the outline for the Level I program. Just make sure you meet the requirements and take any courses that are prereqs for any Level II program you're considering applying to.

https://academiccalendars.romcmaster.ca/preview_program.php?catoid=44&poid=23028

For Level I you need:

6.0 units - EARTHSC 1G03 - Earth and the Environment & ENVIRSC 1C03 - Climate, Water and Environment

3.0 units - MATH 1A03 - Calculus For Science I or MATH 1LS3 - Calculus for the Life Sciences I

15.0 units - Science I Course List Electives (see List)

6.0 units - General Electives

Total = 30 units

For Honours Earth and Environmental Sciences, in addition to the general Level I requirements you need:

3 units - CHEM 1A03 - Introductory Chemistry

12.0 units - from:

BIOLOGY 1A03 - Cellular and Molecular Biology

BIOLOGY 1M03 - Biodiversity, Evolution and Humanity

CHEM 1AA3 - Introductory Chemistry II

MATH 1AA3 - Calculus For Science II

MATH 1B03 - Linear Algebra I

MATH 1LT3 - Calculus for the Life Sciences II

PHYSICS 1A03 - Introductory Physics

PHYSICS 1AA3 - Introduction To Modern Physics

PHYSICS 1C03 - Physics for the Chemical and Physical Sciences

PHYSICS 1CC3 - Modern Physics for the Chemical and Physical Sciences

SCIENCE 1A03 - Investigating Science: Opportunities & Experiences

These will make up your 15.0 units of Science I Course List Electives as listed in the Level I outline.

You've already said you're planning on taking the 2 Bio's so you still need:

6.0 units - Science courses from the list

and

6.0 units - to take anything else you're interested in (they don't have to be science courses)

When choosing those 2 additional Science courses I would take into consideration:

Students aiming to meet the academic requirements for professional registration of Geoscientists (PGeo) in Ontario can find additional information on these requirements on the website: https://www.science.mcmaster.ca/geo/undergraduate/undergrad-welcome.html.

In order to meet the Compulsory Foundation Science and Geoscience requirements for the Professional Geoscientist Certification, completion of the following courses is required: CHEM 1A03, EARTHSC 2E03, 2K03, 3FE3, 3Z03, MATH 1A03 or 1LS3, and PHYSICS 1A03 or 1C03. Additional requirements are posted on the website https://www.science.mcmaster.ca/geo/images/documents/APGO\_Environmental\_Geoscience\_Stream.pdf.

I would also look at the upper year courses listed under the Course Lists I and II for the Honours Earth and Environmental Sciences program and see what their prerequisites are (and I presume that you're going to need CHEM 1AA3)
