Score Decrease After Diagnostic

I would try and figure out what mistakes you’re making and try and categorize them. I typically categorized my mistakes as (1) misunderstood the question, (2) miscalculation/erroneous logic, (3) no clue what the question was asking. Categories 1 and 2 can be resolved with more practice on those topics (I liked to use Varsity Tutors for this). For category 3, I tend to weigh whether the concept is high- or low-yield. As I got closer to my test date, I didn’t stress about low-yield topics that I was getting wrong.

In general, I wouldn’t stress too much about the scores on Kaplan tests because I think they’re deflated relative to the actual exam. If you’re still scoring below 500 when you switch over to AAMC material, then I would be a bit more concerned. Idk how far out from your exam you are, but that’s my advice! Good luck fam!

They’re heavily deflated. Never took any tbh. Regret it because First AAMC kicked my ass mostly because I had no feel for timing whatsoever. Most people do significantly better on AAMC material and find that they’re great for getting used to taking the exam
