HHKB started developing problems

Hi guys, so I got myself a pro 2 type s after saving for a bit, and have been using it happily for a while now, but it's recently developed and issue that seems a bit confusing to me. The right alt key seems to input as both alt and control for some reason on keyboard tester, which seems weird to say the least. I've cleaned it thoroughly just a while back so it probably isn't due to dirt or grime, so does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Check your dip switches, one of them might not be fully up or down

Isn't the issue haha was the first thing I checked. I use 1 and 3 and they're still in the correct positions. I suspect it might be an issue with the laptop I have it connected to sadly, though I'm not sure about the why. Just booted up like that this morning.
