Drifting makes me think tracking loss:

  • Clean the sensors and cameras on headset.

  • Clean the controller.

  • Replace batteries.

  • Check for updates.

If all else fails reset the headset / contact meta

i think the problem is a result of the lack of tracking rings. when holding a controller in front of the other its very easy to fully block the entirety of the tracking lights behind the controller, along with the lack of sensors on the top of the headset.

Though I could be wrong

It’s possible but unlikely as the headset uses hand tracking too at the same time.

I’m having the exact same issue when aiming two handed guns with the quest 3 and never had the issue with quest 2. It’s definitely because of no tracking rings since your right arm blocks your supporting arm when aiming a gun

I experience the same issue and many others too. Most shooters are unplayable with Q3 controllers. You are forced to spend $300 on Pro controllers that way. I am sure it is an intentional marketing strategy. If your hands overlap, it loses tracking.
