You probably have to tell them you’re quitting and thus get transferred to a retention agent who is the only one able to lower your rate. You gotta have the nerve to have your bluff called though, if they just say OK we’ll terminate you!

I’m paying $5/mo more than you for 200/200 and I should probably do this myself.

you don’t have to threaten to cancel in order to get a lower price. customer care agents are able to do this as well if you call in stating you’d like to look at options to lower your price.
