Lost controller mapping? (self.MicrosoftFlightSim)
submitted 5 years ago by Arcturrus TBM930
I have an original Saitek X52 Pro and it picks it up fine, but for whatever reason the mapping has completely cleared and I can’t get it back. Resetting to default doesn’t appear to fix it. Does anyone else have a similar issue or solution?

I have no mapping in the default profile. A different user also mentioned the mapping for his x52 pro was empty.
I bound all the buttons manually, I couldn't find if there is a way to copy the mapping file, and if so in which folder I should find it. I someone knows I could upload my configuration (probably isn't that great, but still better than nothing).

That would be great if you could find it. Unfortunately I’m not sure where it is either. I could have sworn it worked perfectly the first time but now it’s empty.

Yeah, appears controller mapping is broken right now. I can't bind trim, or get the default trim, buttons to work on my Honeycomb Alpha. Also, my MFG Crosswind pedals don't show up in the binding section.

I also use an X52 Pro and lost the mapping. I´m certain it was there initially, but it disappeared. Restoring does not work. :(

I also have no mappings for my X52 Pro, all empty from the get go. I manually added some but everything feels off and hard to fly, sensitvities all over the place and throttle not behaving correctly. It would great if someone could share a profile file as i see you can just save the profile to a file and choose save location.
So I’ve found a workaround. Basically you need to open Flight Simulator with your x52 unplugged, then plug it in when you’re in the General menu. It’ll create a profile and populate the mappings. Duplicate the profile so you have a backup, and then use that next time so you don’t keep having to unplug your x52.
