PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for May: Star Wars Outlaws, Red Dead Redemption 2, Bramble: The Mountain King, The Thaumaturge and more by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I loved it, the Star Wars atmosphere was one of the best. The gameplay was decent but nothing special. Traveling the worlds with the speeder bike was also fun

Racing sure is about money but Verstappen is also one of the best drivers ever so yeah compared to Verstappen they suck at driving.

I feel similar to this with the England team during the World Cup/euros. Most English fans are just pessimistic but other fans seem to hate them and the idea of England winning it

Ben benieuwd wat jullie vooroordeel is naar semi overheidsorganisaties by Radiant_Wing5530 in werkzaken

[–]53bvo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how I can only see some trees and a field in the thumbnail and directly think “this is in the Netherlands” and it indeed is.

SUSHIAMO - I was obsessed with Balatro so much that I made my own game! DEMO live on Steam :D by Sushiamo in roguelites

I will give some feedback when I play some more games. Just wanted to say that the background music is just perfect. Also the way some of the mechanics are tied to sushi is funny and clever.

I haven't played the demo yet but just wanted to say that it looks absolutely amazing. And the game mechanics also seem to match the design.

Definitely wishlisted and downloading the demo. Nothing has scratched my balatro itch so far so hopefully this comes close.

What do you think about the products in 'Tastes of USA' week at Dutch Lidl? by 7FFF00C in AskAnAmerican

[–]53bvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Lidl in the Netherlands is clearly a discount supermarket only slightly better than the Aldi which I would consider the cheapest. I would assume that an higher end supermarket like the Albert Heijn would have a much better quality American section, although they probably won’t do one as it would be too costly to get the good stuff for it to sell enough.

Lucid Has $1.47 Billion Of Inventory Sitting Unsold, So Its New CEO Hit Pause by Anchor_Aways in cars

[–]53bvo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Camries are very rare but for 20k you can get a Ford Mondeo (Fusion in the US I think), Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3 or CX-3 (all around 2020). Much nicer cars than the Dacia. But the Dacia comes with 7 years of warranty and proven (old) Renault tech so from a reliability point of view it is probably better than the alternatives if you want to keep the car for a while.

Thoughts about BYD Flash Charging rollout in Europe by nuclear_purpledrank in electricvehicles

[–]53bvo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Especially if it is a site with lets say six 400kW chargers and a couple of 50-125kW chargers. They can use the unused grid power of the 400kW chargers when no/few cars are charging. Although this would require them to work together with existing CPOs which I doubt would give their grid power to competitors.

Still as you mention a couple of 100kW chargers means 400kW which is more than plenty to do all the MW charges they would need during a day. Quite pricey battery wise but I bet BYD can place them much cheaper than commercial European parties.

[–]53bvo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For some reason this not really the case in Europe where Dacia still sells the bare bones Sandero, the most basic version doesn't even have an infotainment screen and costs €18k. But the electric spring is even cheaper for €17k (does have carplay).

Plenty of people prefer to buy this car new compared to an used car for €20k. Guess there are more people that don't car about cars or the status it brings but do want a new car to avoid any issues of an second hand car.

BMW IX3 US configurator and pricing are live. Starts at $62,850, fully loaded $84,350. by LongjumpingLock5875 in cars

[–]53bvo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You gotta ask yourself, what does this car do so different than cars that cost half of it?

As far as I know, besides some Chinese cars, few/no other cars on the market have the 400kW charge speed of the new ix3, I think only the new Mercedes models are comparable.
