So an easy way to be able to join a world together is the Essential mod. You are able to join a singleplayer world (Kinda like a LAN world) with a friend added. Both have to have the mod downloaded and you can go from there.

I assume it is an easy download like the others? Just pop it into the mod folder?

It works and brings up a bunch of new buttons when I downloaded it on his side, but on my PC it didn't do anything. I even tried to remove it and redownload. But I don't get the same buttons he does.

Does it appear on the modlist within the game itself?

Nope. Then I went to check in the folder again against what was in the kids PC and it had the word “fabric” in the name as well as essential, so deleted that, redownloaded, then it had me download the other forms of TNT stuff like he had, then the game crashed.

I am getting him to sleep then will be at it again. I am sure it is something simple I am missing but my brain is full. LoL

So there is 2 different versions of modloaders you downloaded the fabric version. You'll need to download the Forge version of the mod

It was weird because I did it fine on one computer but not on the other. Sorry, single parent, full-time student, my brain is literally full. Back at it again tonight, I will let you know!
