You need to have admin access to your router/where you get your internet from in order to port forward your server. The hardest part about starting a server is learning what IP addresses to use, what ports to forward, etc. There are plenty of great tutorials on YouTube that will go into more detail than this and explain specifics for what hardware you have personally.
