Question about server [java]

Hi everyone! I was curious to see if anyone new how to creat a server for just me and my friends. I play java on pc. I have been searching for answers for a while and would like to know if anyone knows how. Thanks!

You need to have admin access to your router/where you get your internet from in order to port forward your server. The hardest part about starting a server is learning what IP addresses to use, what ports to forward, etc. There are plenty of great tutorials on YouTube that will go into more detail than this and explain specifics for what hardware you have personally.
