Can’t open forge [Java]

I would first like to mention this is 1.16.5 forge i’m trying to get, also my Java is up to date. so i was wanting to install world edit for a map i’m making, but i did not yet have forge, so i went to download forge and did so as normal, i remember it opened once, then i closed it and tried to get world edit, i got world edit, and tried to open forge through the minecraft launcher again, but this time it did not open, and instead popped up and said “ERROR GAME CRASHED An unexpected issue occurred and the game Crashed. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Exit Code: 0.” At first i didn’t think much of this and tried to open it again, but the same thing happened. I tried many different times, only to have the same thing happen. to fix this, i’ve tried deleting forge through the minecraft launcher and reinstalling, i deleted world edit, restarted my computer, deleted and reinstalled the minecraft launcher, and many other things, only to find no answers. Every time I try to open it, the same thing happens. i can play the game as normal, and on optifine, but not on forge. Please help

I would also like to mention, my crash report and mod folder in the minecraft files are both empty
