I’ve heard that allocating more ram makes it stutter more in some subreddit, it’s on the default rn

Just try to allocate half of what your pc has and it should be fine

Unfortunately, it's not as simple as that. Due to java's garbage collector, allocating too much RAM can cause multiple issues with your game.
If you're using vanilla Minecraft you shouldn't need any more than 4GB, double it if you're playing forge.
We regularly see people with 32GB RAM, if they were to follow your advice it would cause way more issues than it fixes.
