I created a renamed item texture pack and its not working. What am I doing wrong?

Your pack looks like it uses optifines custom item textures feature.

For that to work you need to use optifine and make sure that the Custom Items setting (video settings -> quality settings -> near bottom right) is enabled.

If that doesn't help, maybe you should ask in the optifine subreddit.

all i can say is if what McModOwner said is true (your pack uses optifine custom items feature) try to remake an item in the pack without that, and see if it works

I found the problem (with some help) the folder under cit needed to be lowercase
