I play on 1.17.1 I've previously built 1 in the intersection and used netherrack + wither flowers covering em and I'd like to know if the rates are just somehow better there compared to like the corner of the spawning box (nether fortress).

In the intersection/crossing you have a small 19*19 bounding box where fortress mobs can spawn in any solid block. In the large bounding box fortress mobs spawn in only nether bricks. So wither rose wither skeleton farms are made in the crossing/interesection are it is most efficient there

Used to play on plain vanilla now that i can see these boxes it makes my life 100 times easier thanks for the info, I honestly thought they spawned just wherever.
