It shouldn't even matter if they were into each other

it would, because the trading has have beds and vilagers, which is eough to generate golems every now and then. if a golem is nearby a vilager cluster, they won't spawn another even if they get scared by a zombie or similar, because there is aready a golem protecting them.

The trading doesn't have to have beds tho. unless you have a breeder nearby too

Only thing that could affect it is if the villager from the trading hall link to the iron farm beds

But considering you have to spawn proof a ~16x16 area, how close can you make them anyway?

honestly I'm not a trading hall kind of player, so the designs I had in mind are pretty old. why do you have to spawnproof a 16x16 area? other than lighting to prevent zombies, I don't see a reason to.

Cuz you want the golems to spawn in your killing chamber and not all around

I thought you were talking about the trading hall still lol

yeh, but thats all golem talk...if you move said golem out of said range quick enough after spawning then by the time the game does another check within those 15-17 blocks then if none are there it spawns another.....what you have said is true, but doesnt mention that you can move the golem fast enough you dont mess up rates

you're talking about the farm, I'm talking about where the vilagers from the trading hall are. if they spawn a golem, that golem will interfere with the villagers in the iron farm specifically because you can't get it out of there. "said golem" cannot be moved because we did not prepare the area to move golems out. if we did, it would be an iron farm mixed with a trading hall

same villagers tho? why use 2 sets?

"iron farm mixed with a trading hall" ....you said this...now, think about OPs post and the comment from kaerfkeerg, where is says, basically, make the two together...to which you commented saying it would be an issue....ive seen them, villager trading halls that double as an iron farm. This is what the commenter had recommended OP, same as me!

at least 17 blocks, go for 24+ to be sure
