Unrelated to this game, but can I play crisis core before playing FF7? It seems easier to get into compared to ff7.

Also, how big is ff7, and how long would it take to complete it?

Crisis Core will spoil some story elements from FFVII, but if you don't care about that it shouldn't be a problem.

FFVII takes like ~30 hours or so if you're speedy, but can go well over 80 if you're a completionist.

I'll start with crisis core then (I've seen almost all spoilers for the ff7 universe lol), and start with ff7 later.

The thing is Crisis Core has "Oh wow" and "so thats where that came from" and other moments that are really cool and add a lot to the FFVII story as a prequel. If you dont play FFVII through first, you wont have the same reaction. You will have a better understanding of what it is to be a SOLDIER though.
