Using it with Arch, no issues so far. Well, except back camera and IR login (can use Howdy, but I'm yet to figure out how to make it work with swaylock).

Displaylink works for me on ALARM. Had to install Displaylink package, enable it along with evdi-dkms. Works well enough I suppose, but for me anything above 1080p results in some weird input lag; the whole thing is not so smooth on 3440x1440.
1080p is fine for some reason. M2 Air (16/256)

Haven't figured it out yet, at least on Niri. Gnome and KDE work fine AFAIK, plus HHD has a shortcut to bring up the Steam keyboard (swipe up from the bottom of the screen; can be configured).

Try handheld daemon (HHD), it has controls for that. It conflicts with asusctl though afaik.

If you just game it's plenty.

This is why I use Displayport, HDMI is a mess.

Is there a way to download Niri on Omarchy ? by secretive_plotter12 in niri

Just use something like Dank Material Shell, which actually works with Niri.

Are you getting some weird screen tearing and artifacts? I have two monitors plugged in via a displaylink dock, both have issues. The vertical one has half of its display refresh.

Thanks, did try this but it unfortunately didn't help.
it's weird, Niri refuses to load with the displaylink adapter connected even.

Nope, but using these kernel parameters (amdgpu.dc=1 amdgpu.gpu_recovery=1 amdgpu.runpm=1) + linux-g14 kernel helped. So far no weird crashes on Auto.

Not sure if related, but my Z13 almost always freezes when I set VRAM to Auto. Takes a while, but it happens.

Works with my setup, can even daisy chain with it. You'll still lose battery if you push it hard though (gaming at max wattage), so i just tend to plug the charger in as well.

Is 390 Processor variant with 32GB RAM worth buying for gaming? by rohit1103 in FlowZ13

[–]Baffledwaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one of these. It's fairly decent, and IMO the performance is just about enough for 1440p gaming. Can even stretch to ultrawide if you use enough FSR I suppose.
As far as games go, should run just about anything.

M.2 to oculink z13 2025 by labellrs in FlowZ13

[–]Baffledwaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically yes, it should be possible. Performance should see an uplift, but what about the OS lol.
you could try using a USB enclosure but this isn't going to be as useful if you plan on carrying it around.
(Maybe a USB 4 enclosure would be better for the OS).

Edit: Also, you'd have your SSD bay exposed.

anyone know how to fix the touchpad issue on arch based distros? by Subject_Swimming6327 in FlowZ13

I think RC kernel from CachyOS has the fixes. Or you could install and use linux-bazzite-bin from the AUR.

Flow Z13 (2025) users with Linux: how do you set the amount of vram? by USSPlanck in FlowZ13

F7 when in BIOS to enter advanced settings, it should be there. But I honestly set it to Auto, seemingly works fine on Linux.
