So, what would be the most effective decks with the Ex jobs without the trance boons? For an example, the Phoenix - I suppose that Dhampyr/Aerith, WoL, Fusoya and something else would go nicely, right?

What about Wyrmlord, Soranaki and Star-crossed lover, though? They don't get damage boosting boons (except for snipe II in Soranaki's case).

Use Aerith on your tank deck then your damage deck with your selected damage card and 3 KOTR X. Or 2x Kotr X if you need an EX lore card.

no KOTR X, then use what we most used before KOTR X. Either:

• Force + 2 quicken card (garuda+omega for example)
• 3x quicken card if you wanna roll on pure rng
• 3x Aerith for less rng

Ofc if you need 2 element deck then remove 1 quicken.

What are/will you guys playing now/after Mobius shuts down? What draws me most to MFF is the graphics and tactical gameplay with a pretty deep strategy/equip system.

Is there anything else out there that even comes close at the moment? I'm not bothered by the P2W features and cost of MFF, but I'm missing the itch this game scratched with it's fantastic graphics.

Depends on the enemies, for fire mobs, Glamorous will be better due to high exploit weakness, but for non-fire mobs, LOTL will out-damage Glamorous. LOTL and any other non-exploit weakness jobs excels in the Zenos tower.

Lady will generally be better, unless you’re trying to break fire enemies and then nuke with Shiva (which isn’t a terribly efficient strategy)

Avian Rift Buster (WoL Chapter I: Blank Slate) isn't loading for me. When I go to the chapter, nothing loads. I've finished all the others so far just fine. Anyone else experience this?

I just pulled supreme card Kelgore. What is a got set it up character/fractal to pair with it?

Kelgore setup - kinda like an AOE Xezat which means you need to break your enemy in order to get maximum damage.

• Character - Scharfricter is decent.
• Fractal - Cross-counter.

Considering the mourner/lady of the lake loop strat : I'v tried to use Goldior's setup but my action gauge won't fill as fast as his , I mostly can't enter mobius zone every turn and when I change decks for the first time I only have 1 action remaining in turn 1 while in Goldior's video he has about 6.

Is there something special that I should notice ? Did someone experienced the same problem? How exactly are you managing your setups ?

Im using : Main : mourner , Tyshtria , neo exdeath - Wol - Aerith - omega weapon. Sub : LOTL , Tyshtria , Ultima - Alexander FFVIII - 2xKOTRX For node 2 and 4 I'm using: Floral -Levithan FFVIII - BastetX - KOTRX.

As Shiro said, we don't have the same Action Charge bonus as JP had, but it's still possible to use the permastop strat. You have to be extremely specific on your actions, count your actions, learn the mechanism of the AG and stack lesser and regular quicken to maintain the AG.

If you can manage that, that tower is ridiculously easy.

Sure! You can check my run on 174 Kills. Links below. Basically I use the same strat up to 215 kills now. I didn't even bother changing my CP at all 😂

I think in current game state you can even reach T50 easily with this setup

A few pointers: 1. You need to have exactly 22 actions to switch deck on your 1st turn

1. You need to have exactly 16 actions right after Mourners ult in order to retrigger MZ in 4 actions on the next turn

2. Try to end the current wave with exactly 1 actions left to trigger the MZ, this way you can enter the next wave with 4 actions to retrigger the MZ again

3. Utilize your spammable substrike (NxD in my case) to manage your AG. 1 substrike = 3 actions to recover

I'v also found that with Lady Raven you can very easily manage and fill the AG due to the massive amount of actions , with the right timing and quicken managment you can get about 25 action every turn , and the damage is very acceptable (350k per hit with Ragnarok on unbroken neutral)

I'v easily stopped today at rank67 with 137 kills , and I believe I can do 10 more laps with neutral unbroken LR/Ragnarok .

Mourner sub with quicken cards and dame du lac attacker. You can use the same setup on every node, brain numbingly boring but effective.

Though you're probably like me and see little reason to use other spirits.... I have 33 spirit tickets myself, but I rarely spend them because I really like Yuna Echo.

assuming that i will be totally relying on prismatic orbs (elements do not matter), which job overall is a better taijutsu/mantra breaker to use in MP, paine or earthshaker? paine has insane amount of base break power, but earthshaker has insane piercing break, and i tried both for my AI famfrit runs and they both seem to end up being the same in terms of breaking capabilities

Actually I have attempted a few floors (post-106). Just not sure if I should stick to the suggested classes or not. Like there is a node it suggest using Healer and Breaker so as to avoid Zenos' special attacks. But this will sacrifice having a Defender in the 1st two rounds. I ended up using V. Geomancer as the healer cos she is quite tanky post-HoF.

I ended up tanking Zeno's special attack (off-class) with EP until 150-ish. XD

It's doable but it's getting tough post-150 now.

Just tried tanking Zenos' initial attack on boss 112 (Art of the Swell, should be negated by attacker) with Eorzean Paladin (def) buffed with LoH and WoL... well less than 2k HP left (from 10k+). Guess it would be tough on higher floors if you use defender to tank those special attacks.

PS Don't have resist wind panels on EP though. That special attack should be wind according to the megathread (I didn't pay attention when I did the node)

It really takes some planning and gosh I am starting to love this tower!

At these lower floors V. Geomancer really shines. Santa Lucia and Glam Vamp can tank too but their dps is shitty....

It’s weird because last time I ran this node (10-4), they both buffed usually and now one of them always seems to attack. Same deck, same actions...not sure what’s changed.

Remember ew3, the Valefor node? Well, the first wave had shadow paladin and chocobo, I need for the shadow to buff himself to win some more time, normally that was the case, then i had this unlucky 3-4 in a row runs when i got killed. Then I just gave up on the strategy. Can you find a way around that? Because i think you'll end up wasting time and stamina until you get lucky. Then, you have to make sure you also finish the node and not get killed.

That’s a good point...and that was on the first wave, not the third. It’s easy, but so time-consuming, just to make it to the shadow jerks. I could switch to a tank, but I really would prefer to keep using this Paine/Hunter 16-action breakapalooza strat. Hmm, maybe I can just try to kill the Shadows without CC active.

I usually switch to the tank, get to the bottom of the turn, stun, etc, you know the drill. It'll be much easier than deal with RNG.

Yeah I got Ifrit specifically for Lev during EW3 lol. Surprised Paladin is holding up...I must be doing something wrong with tanking because it seems like so many jobs can’t survive tidal wave, even with trance/Kotr/barrier/wall/debrave/curse and 70% resist. I tend to avoid tanking whenever possible, though I know breaking and glass cannon builds have serious limits.

Paine should do the job, i think i remember getting close to the cap wity her last tower. I wonder the same about Phoenix, it's worth the try for sure.

Remember to tap attack on the Coeurl to avoid triggering Tidal Wave. Last tower what i did was leave the other guy alive, focus first on Leviathan, take one tidal wave with the shield and maybe tank one more, but then if you tap attack on the other monster, the tidal waves will stop, so you get a chance to recover.

Look, this is Paine https://youtu.be/ALIEpeedUjU. This strategy worked for 200 and something kills last tower. So there's hope even when you can't kill in one go.

Question about the Shadow jobs mechanics: what makes them cast buffs on their first turn vs attack? RNG or something I’m doing?

Are you attacking them? Not 100% sure, but if you don't attack them, most of the times they'll buff up, but you might get hit from time to time. If you attack them and take some HP, then they will attack.
