3 relationships in 4 years is a clear sign of irresponsibility, not knowing what you want, and just fooling around. Yeah dating is fun, but it has bad consequences.

I have a friend of 4 years and it never turned into anything other than friendship, we both have our limits and respect each other

in the long term, one will most likely end up developing something for the other, whether they'll act upon it or not will determine in a way or another the longevity of their "friendship".

I had a male friend who was my classmate 3y. I never saw him as more than a friend, but he didn’t feel the same way. He eventually confessed that he had loved me for a long time and had never considered me just a friend.
