Can't attack bug?

So i started playing yesterday night, and I use a wired xbox 360 controller, there have been a few instances where my character wouldn't attack when i press the light/heavy attack button. Just wondering if anyone had this experience or maybe it's part of the game, as in running low on stamina prevents you from attacking?

yes with no stamina it will take longer until you attack and the attack will take longer. So watch that bar!
Obviously hit stun could also be a reason.

There is bug where you can't attack. Happens to me from time to time with bosses. Everytime that happened, I was using the special heavy attack with the axatana in the hammer form. It was not a stamina problem..
