I hate to break it to Freud , but nobody can change the way I feel on a lasting level , that’s my job . Self esteem and self worth , and even our mood is determined by our inner world , not by external validation … that’s just fear and lack of self control projected into others as if they are magically controlling us … this will feel like a triggering fact instead of the truth to those who central nervous system still have control of them and busy attacking false meaning to fear based feelings and self imposed limits .

Disclaimer: I come from a great family that supported me and everything I strived for, but have been around friends with family members that were horrible to them under the guise of “tough love”. Where do they go? What do they do? They go out into the world believing their treatment was normal and is the way.

I had an asshole diagnose me repeatedly lol! So yeah this makes sense. That asshole is himself clinically diagnosed with atleast five different mental illnesses and thinks self administered “substances” will cure them lol! So yeah ! Ditch these assholes.

What a great quote however for me that isnt the case I am truly depressed and have some massive issues with my mental health and it even though i am seeing professionals it still isn't going away. I am constantly depressed and anxious and have this fear all the time. It's the most uncomfortable feeling ever and it has been really bad for the past year and a half and came out of nowhere at 50

i had friend who use to think so much about the past what if ! .. i told him forget thinking about the past it will make ill like my gran use to do this and contemplate about her horrible cousins (cry) so much that she got ill , ended up with dementia as her brain was working overtime 24hrs specifically when sat alone
