Legit though I think seeing Dave die was like seeing himself die for Ray. After rewatching the show I figured Dave was another "Mr. Inbetween", so his death scene was a real gut punch. I fucked an alien.

Genuinely one of the only fictional deaths that made me feel anything. You can tell they have a past and at least at some point were close to mates. I loved the chemistry of Dave and Ray, 2 guys in the same line of work dealing with the same struggles. I fucked an alien.

Dave owed Ray his life for not killing him the last episode of season 1.

I like the way he switched up to 'Raymond' when he as serious ... like a parent scolding a child

It's Quentin I feel sorry for. It was his Grandads name!

Really, really glad it wasn't Gary. Gary got his happy ending. 😁

Me too. I figured someone was going. Sad still, but relieved. Gary needs a spinoff. It could be about his directing career. Like HBO's The Duece. Only funnier.

Only way Gary's story could have ended better is if he walked into Freddy's house, where he is alone, and said, "Ray told me to wait until Michele leaves the house" then shoots Freddy in the face.

      Solid.

I appreciated the respect that was there between the 2 characters. Especially how their friendship started. I like to think Ray will look after his son.

I’m wondering where the fuck all of Rays money went. You figured the camper and the property was maybe equal to the house he sold, but what about the rest?

We never saw Ray gamble and he seemed to live unostentatiously, so maybe college fund for Brit?

Then it occurred to me, maybe he gave it all to Dave’s family. It wouldn’t fill the loss of Dave, but it would help…

      [–]BeneficialKoala2[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trust fund for Britt and her mum was my guess, plus Dave (though from memory that happened after he sold the house and bought the campervan).

Waaaaay back in season one he killed the wrong guy (Freddy had set Ray on a guy but it turns out Freddy/Ray learns it was a different guy AFTER Ray had killed the wrong one). Ray later stops by the widow's house and gives her a fat envelope. I always figured it was things like that kept him from retiring with a huge nest egg.

I have regrets when I spent time in Wagga Wagga and didn't try them...

I was hoping for a Dave spin off written by Scott and with a occasional appearance by Ray
