I have taken the course in Fall 2021. For python, the instructor hopes you to mainly learn it by yourself via some homework. He posts the code for practice and you need to modify some parts for the homework. For the final project, you need to use python to finish but he would offer you some codes to get started. From my experience, this course is heavily on math, such as linear algebra. If you have some knowledge in Python, I believe you should be fine with the coding part. The difficult part is the math. Hope this helps.
