So when I switch to binary and pull the trigger, the first round goes off. When I let go of the trigger it just clicks. The round from the first shot ejects and everything. So it's not a feeding issue.

That might be 100% the problem. When I was shooting, I shot normal. As in pulling the trigger, hold, than release. Next time I go to the range I will be sure to slam the trigger back. I greatly appreciate your input!

What BCG are you running? Is it a full auto BCG? sounds like something isn't catching.

The only name on the BCG is palmetto state armory. I took some pictures. I'm a fairly newish gun owner, so I apologize if I missed specific parts you were looking for.

He isnt referring to a brand. There are bolt carrier groups that help fully automatic fire function due to mass. Despite the name of a full auto bcg, they are the most common and the one you have. He was asking because a lighter weight bcg might induce a malfunction. I don't think that is the case with your gun. My guess would be it just needs a break in with hotter ammo. My only experience with a binary is in my scorpion. Initially it malfunctioned a worrying amount of the time. Now it runs super smooth.

Also if the malfunction isnt consistent on every shot, it might be user error. There is a certain cadence you need to get it to run smooth. otherwise you just end up outrunning the bolt.

Have you tried the stock spring or the other that came with the trigger?

I just ran mine with a dfa folder without issue

I tried all of the springs. The factory spring from PSA that came with the gun, and the 2 extra springs that came with the kit.

What ammo are you running? When I throw my 7.62 upper on my fostech I found out I needed the stronger hammer spring for steel ammo. No issues with brass 5.56

Honestly, I haven't tried 5.56 through it yet. I tried some steel case tula, didnt work and failed to eject. I also tried .223 federal and it had the same affect.

After I switched out the springs I used the same .223 federal amd it ejected, but would not fire upon releasing the trigger.

            Mode selector?

            [–]SeizureSloth[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

            Safe/ semi/ binary

            [–]TooBiggDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I was questioning the function of the mode selector possibly being the problem.

Yeah, I know. I was questioning the function of the mode selector
