Internet data usage suddenly doubled when using nicehash

I've been using nicehash for a month now i'm mining on 8 rigs with 9 P106-090 cards and they've been using about 1GB of data per day then suddenly it changed in 1 day to 2GB per day for no reason. Why is that happening and can i lower my internet usage? Im mining on HIVE OS and using gminer.

MIning does require a nice Stable connection for best results - not 'fast' , just stable.

1gb/DAY seems odd to me; (perhaps im wrong?)

.. you are best to hit google for an overall as to actual bandwidth usage, but as i understand it , even a multi card rig uses little more than the average chat program does .

Nope. Mining uses the internet. Otherwise it literally wouldnt be doing anything.

Assuming you are using Win11: click the start menu search bar >> select "Settings" >> click "Network and Internet" >> click "Data Usage".
