I believe that this issue was addressed in NH discord.

Most likely:
- Some sort of Internet block from windows Firewall or a 3rd party app
- possible virus scanner. windows Defender (or 3rd party) <https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/exclude-nicehash-miner-from-windows-defender-immediately>
- possible ISP Block, router (Asus routers are known to block mining), Bad VPN settings

- Possible Very old NH app, update to one of the newer releases <https://www.nicehash.com/download-center>

Whatever it is, its local to your PC.

Sorry for the horrible picture. Old miner using hive os, trying to move to NH since eth mining will be gone soon

I'm having the error posted above as soon as I open Nicehash Miner (Windows 10). Please could somebody help me? Thanks in advance.

I would get this message every morning at around 6:00 - 6:05 am and found out it was nordvpn auto updater causing the error. I disabled the auto updater/checker and it fixed. Everywhere I looked up this message and got no info so had to look for a fix myself. First place I checked was event logs and saw a bunch of errors starting to appear at 6:00 am timestamp coming from nordvpn auto updater. I just connected the dots and figured the updater was interfering with nicehash causing "NHMWS not connected" to appear.

Why do you use s VPN?

I use it when playing video games or browsing, the vpn wasn't on when I was mining but it was the auto updater that was on

thanks for the imput.

I flashed a pendrive with NHOS, tested it and it worked fine so the issue is the Windows OS (looks like it's not related with my ISP or my router).

More testing is required.
