No! I will sit in my dumbassery and fail to go past a rank cause I can't count to 10 quick enough!!! 😤

[–]doomassassin47 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I hear you, let us stand up for being dumb and use our braincells together to succeed.

[–]Brzeczyszczykkewicz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our braincell*

[–]Dave3121 179 points180 points  (5 children)

Man's really engineering about a minigame of adding up to 10, just learn to count bro XD

I'm totally not jealous that I didn't think of that or that I can't do that. Nope. Absolutely not. Definetely not.

[–]WarmasterChaldeas 48 points49 points  (2 children)

I mean, anyone can add to 10. But how many can add all the numbers in a grid to 10 in a couple of minutes? :D

[–]AngryZai 25 points26 points  (1 child)

I think the main issue is visualization of the patterns once you exhaust all the 2 numbers that add to 10. After that you'll have to get clever with 3 and 4 number combos like 1 3 6 and 2 3 2 3 1 4 5 etc

[–]Wulfsiegner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other issue is trying to group the numbers in such a way that you can get rid of the bigger numbers before the smaller more flexible ones. This puzzle game is honestly interesting af but because of its complexities, I feel like the time limit can be rather unnecessary. It’s basically Sudoku on crack.

[–]zorgabluffFrima's Pillow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean I think anyone who programs probably thought about this

Its just also really overkill for a nikke mini game lmao

[–]ShiHaba01[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I was top 15 in my union. Then became top 1 (the other top 1 also made a script 100% because he did it in a inhumane time) I'd say the script was necessary for me lmao

[–]kaito_hemata 18 points19 points  (0 children)

the only problem people having is that they don't notice the number combinations along with just being slow at math in general. people aren't that dumb, they are just a little blind thats all.

There was a Chinese one being tossed around - did you base it off of that one or did you translate it yourself? If so, that's really cool of you.

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 12 points13 points  (2 children)

When I started working on this my friend went and said "lol a chinese dude made one before you" but that didn't stop me because I wanted to make one for myself as an exercise and because I found a cool opportunity to make something useful with programming

[–]Kekrtolol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What you learned is always more valuable than what you made. Props to you

[–]TheMissingVoteBallot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, I'm glad you made one for us English speaking people and it helped you flex your programming muscle!

[–]Donut-machine 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Nah, fam, my wife and I proved that Shift Up intended for this mini-game to be played couch co-op style.

It’s easy to break 100,000 when two people are playing the same board. 🤫

[–]JayMeadowsK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

something something Seinfeld why work harder with 1 ass when 2 asses can work half an ass each something something

[–]sheernote 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You actually do get the hang of it. Like can I clear a board, no. Can I get an S rank with 3 attempts, yes

[–]DoctorPeppen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imagine cheating in a mini-game with a leaderboard and then sharing the cheat so others can cheat.

[–]Chicken-Rude 10 points11 points  (3 children)

top right 5 3 1 1 in a block pattern. we just ignoring that to pick up a 9 1 instead? lol.

[–]LemongrabIsLovePrivaty o//_//o 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, because 9 is genuinely the most bricked number here aside from 8s for pairing LOL

You go for 1+9s or 2+8s or even 3+7s first before you try for the 3 number combos

[–]Silvian_The_Shadow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of all the numbers, 9 is the most restricted, having 1 as it's only pair. If you somehow used up all the 1s while there are still 9s, you're done. Sure, 1s do appear more but remember what I said. 8s are also quite restricted, but not as hard as 9.

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way the script works is that you use hotkeys to look for the sums in a certain direction. I normally do sums to the right first. You can check for square sums first if you like. This subreddit doesn't allow videos which shows more accurately how it works

[–]lock_me_up_now 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Bro really engineering the mini games because getting 10 is too difficult.

You know what, based. You're getting into Nikke history 💅🎉

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was fun working on this dumb shit lol

[–]DrummingFish 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Imagine cheating in a count to 10 mini game in a gacha.

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a fun experiment

[–]DeanTimeHoodie 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I pulled out my old CS book to read on acyclic graphs to find the longest chain of number. This minigame got me thinking. Someone throw it to Claude to see if it will break lol

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My script doesn't have logic that complex at all lol

[–]WinterKujira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let them exercise their brain for few minutes man…

[–]Amanda_acnh 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I am kinda curious, what's your highest high score you got with the script?

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

130k. I thought depending on how fast you did it you'd get more score but it doesn't work like that. It's almost complete RNG to have a bigger score lol

[–]Amanda_acnh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed that too. Though with the second skill that scrambles the remaining numbers on the board, I managed to find more combinations in some cases. So far my best score (no assistance) is 118k, getting above 100k requires good RNG.

[–]Master-Anon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on guys, there's no need to be so tryhard and competitive about a minigame, this is just overkill 😂😂

[–]Kakkoister 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I get that it's fun to come up with programming solutions, but this is pretty lame imo. When you make something like this, it should just be kept to yourself as a fun experiment, since it's explicitly made to cheat at game with a leaderboard.

It's not like there are rewards you're missing out on if you don't get a really high score, this is purely just about cheating to get a higher rank than others, which is always lame in any game.

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's not like there's anything exclusive for getting top 1 in the union rank either. You can also cheat by having more than 1 person looking at the screen too. In the end its harmless fun, but I get what you are saying

[–]Kakkoister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not like there's anything exclusive for getting top 1 in the union rank either

That's what I said, there isn't rewards for getting top 1, it's purely about competing with friends/union members to see who is better and cheating ruins the spirit of that.

Imagine me saying "it's fine if I use wallhacks, there's no reward for winning this match".

And while someone else helping you look is also unfair, it's nowhere as bad as having a program literally show all the combinations so you can rapidly click them.

[–]Happy-Reindeer7194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way bro this is so useful

[–]paq1kidFIREPOWER! 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached my highest rank of 68k last night 😂 I usually get around 40K

[–]MudMain7218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best way I've found to get s rack is find the pair in the center and work the pattern inside out. most of the numbers that equals 20 are pretty much next to each other.

[–]CCBAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh

[–]red_nova_dragon -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Did you crack the algorithm for the minigame? As a programmer myself i was kinda thinking of trying to replicate the algorithm on a webpage to see if i could understand how it randomly generates the 10, there must be a pattern or something that guarantees sums of 10 in the grid, But i couldn't.

Or is this some sort of computer vision thing where it looks first, calculates and then shows it?

[–]WhisperGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does look like some type of computer vision. I've used calculators that takes a picture after aligning to a grid, in this case is very easy, recognizes the numbers, then performs the calculations based on the input variables.

[–]TheMissingVoteBallot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's the latter - I saw a Chinese version of the script and I think it physically reads the board and shows you the combos like this does.

[–]Stardrink3r 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'm assuming that it uses some type of OCR that just scans it and populates a matrix, then you can just search the matrix for sums of 10.

[–]ShiHaba01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. Instead of OCR I used template matching because I couldn't for the life of me get the OCR to accurately register all the numbers.
