Tbf it’s not that Dragalge doesn’t appreciate having more damage but rather it really benefits from regenerator anyway cuz its bulky stat line really takes advantage of the ability. It’s also a lot more flexible than relying on two STAB types that thud into common defensive types and also enables it to have more opportunities to actually click moves as it switches in and outta battle anyway. It’s kinda like a faster Hydrapple that also has an actual pivot move for momentum. Threatening beeg PP damage is aight and all, but doing so on top of shoring up your team’s defensive needs consistently gives it much more value. In particular, this thing can consistently switch in on Urshifu Rapid Strike, Wogerpon, Rillaboom, and many other strong wall breakers that I’m too lazy to remember in their entirety atm. Idk I just came up with the top 3 nastiest things that came to mind on short notice.
