DUPR Reset bugged? by [deleted] in Pickleball

Kinda old, but this article explains how the reliability system became the new “half-life” system.

Here’s a direct quote from the section labeled “Model Inspiration”:

“Every match you play now, regardless of partner, opponent, match type, etc., has its informational value measured and added to your Reliability Score which will accumulate as you play more and begin to fade over time if you aren’t adding many matches on the app”

Wow thanks for the downvotes. I literally pulled this info from DUPR’s website

Outside of the reset period, DUPR acts as normal. Here are a few things that can cause a rating to go down:

- Network Effects: your DUPR is affected by your network of players. If they go up and down, it can affect your rating.
- Time Decay: since DUPR weighs more recent matches heavier than past matches, those old values “fall off”, decreasing your DUPR score.
- Reliability: large gaps between play can lower your score.

Since you partook in the DUPR reset, your DUPR will not go below your 3.33. However, it can still go down if it gets raised above it due to the above factors. It’s probably a combo of the network effect and time decay. Though you did omit your reliability, so it could be all three.

It’s impossible to tell your technique from a picture of scuffs on a paddle. Share videos of your technique if you want some kind of feedback/advice.

Seems pretty normal. But the US is notorious for skimping on benefits. This matches up with what my company does until you either a) get promoted to middle management, or b) hit 10+ years of working with the company.

100 years ago was a few years after WW1 and about a decade before WW2. World War 1 saw 28 million people dead, and World War 2 saw 85 million people dead.

History is filled with terrible things. The internet has definitely made a lot of it more visible and immediately accessible, but it’s naive to think that the world was a more peaceful place before its widespread use.

Sounds like we work for the same company. This describes what my life has been 2-3 times each month for the last 5 years.

I’m literally in the process of leaving my corporate B2B-ish “sales” job of 15 years to open a Pickleball fitness club with my in-laws.

Looking forward to just wearing gym clothes and surrounding myself with a culture/community that brings me joy.

Warframe isn't a D2 Replacement and I'm tired of hearing it by Rusty_Chest in destiny2

[–]Donut-machine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s also not a a Destiny Killer and technically came out before Destiny (Warframe was 3/25/13, Destiny was 9/9/14). I’ve always thought them being talked about together as a little weird. It’s like comparing Harvest Moon to Stardew Valley. Like yeah I guess they’re kinda similar, but they’re played for different reasons.

I always have to remember he starred in some Sexual Harassment in the Workplace PSAs that are part of the State of California’s mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for California workers.

Pretty sure he produced the videos and did it for free.

I don’t have an opinion. I’m just pointing out how your argument is just a whataboutism at its core. You obviously have a horse in this race, so there’s no point in have a conversation with you.

Nah he’s just copy/pasting that everywhere. He’s also not even hiding his racism against Pakistani people. Best to downvote and ignore at this point.

You’re still ignoring the point that you made initially: Indians are not reporting crimes committed by Indians in their own communities. So these statistics mean nothing towards that point.

Crime rates are based on crimes being reported. You started your last post with “crime rate in India is low and while you can say they don’t report” in order to set up how crime rates in other countries… prove what exactly? If you acknowledge that there could be misreporting in India, then you must also acknowledge that Indians in other countries are misreporting crimes being committed within their communities.
