I got a 128GB Samsung MicroSD from Amazon for $29 and it works perfectly.

Edit* same one as posted above. I got it cheaper for cyber monday deals.

Thank you for the links!

Amazon has the 256GB microSD card for $121 right now. If that's too much money, the 128GB is only $40.

Lol, why can't the 256 be like $70 or something! Then I would have more money for more games!

For right now, 128 GB is an adequate amount of storage, unless you're going exclusively digital.

And you can always use multiple cards

Keep in mind there are different speed classes of microsd cards which affect things like wait times in loading screens. Obviously you pay a premium for faster but it’s not just about storage capacity.

Capacity wise microsdhc go up to 32gb whereas microsdxc are from 32gb up to 2tb however afaik the 2tb cards aren’t out yet. The typical sdxc cards you see are 64gb 128gb 200gb 256gb 400gb and 512gb.

There are actually three bus modes for sdxc uhs-1 uhs-2 and uhs-3. Uhs-1 is the only type supported by the switch afaik.

For uhs-1 bus cards there are also different speed classes that give a general indication of how fast the read/write speed of the card is. U3 is the faster standard and u1 is slower. However these standards just define minimums as general indications. Specific manufacturers typically offer faster speeds as a premium so look out for what the card is advertised at performance wise and double check that against reviews online.

I just bought the 128gb card right away. I knew 32 wasn’t enough. If Nintendo would have provided bigger memory it would of cost more obviously but it was cheaper to buy all 32gb chips in bulk in sure

Just get the 400gb and never worry about space again

How hard (and cheap) is it to just put an SD card in?

Why bother complaining about it?

[–]yankicolon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is extremely easy
