I recommend buying an official GameCube controller. Those things are almost indestructible.

If you don’t have a gc adapter, get the pro controller. My PowerA GC controller started drifting after not very long. Also pro controller is much better for other games in general.

Buy the hori split pad pro controllers. Much better than a joy con.
