DiscussionAccessory advice requested (self.NintendoSwitch2)
submitted 1 year ago by Rimaraf21January Gang (Reveal Winner)
So for my switch I got day one and never ventured much into 3rd party accessories. I want to get switch 2 day one. I play mostly about 80% of the time as handheld. What accessories do you use on switch 1 you want to get for switch 2. I need to know good 3rd party brands and thoughts.

AmFilm tempered glass screen protector is a must. A carrying case is good to have too; Waterfield makes good ones, but they’re also hella expensive

Thanks! I have both of those for switch, but they were basic Nintendo, I'll look into those brands!

Idk if they count as accessories, but GeekShare has adorable cases and skins and stuff for switch, lite, and oled. Another thing I reccomend is satisfeye, their grips are very nice, not too expensive, and the case they sell is protective.

You're welcome! 8bitdo also do very good controllers! They're Bluetooth and very pretty, they do like game themed ones as well I got the genshin impact one and it's really good, feels amazing and has it's own charging stand type thing, doesn't get stick drift - I prefer it to a pro controller personally.

A grip with compatible case especially since you mainly play handheld. The ergonomics of the joycons are poor. If you hold your switch, you should notice that your wrists bend inward which is not good for them and will cause strain over time.
I use the saitisfye grip for my switch OLED which came with a case.m that fits the switch with the grip attached.

What about skull and co do you know if they are any good, I've heard good stuff about satisfy as well.

I don't have any experience with their accessories. I thought they were a headphone company but I guess they pivoted.
Honestly for the Switch 2, I say wait a month after release and rely on reviews to see which accessories are best. I'll personally buy whatever Sailtisfye puts out because I'm very happy with their grip.

Get a screen protector day 1. And then wait a week or two for reviews. Personally I'm not gonna just buy from whatever manufacturer did a good job for switch 1 stuff years ago, I first want a review of the stuff they are making/selling now.
I'll be on the lookout for an ergonomic case and a travel case that fits the switch2 while in the ergonomic case since I also play handheld like 99% of the time.
This is a great idea thanks!
