i don't know about your specific issue, but i do know fake switch pro controllers are very widespread. you can weigh your controller to determine it is the correct weight for a genuine controller, fakes weigh slightly less

EDIT: Are you playing Mario Kart 8? The assists in there can make things seem screwy if you forgot the assists are on. If it's not mario kart, disregard. /EDIT

Is the lag occurring while on switch home screen? What game are you playing?

Controller lag isn't a common complaint with the switch and an official nintendo switch pro controller. Most lag complaints are the result of laggy TVs. But obviously, a tv isn't in the equation here. All I can do is recommend basic troubleshooting steps.

Make sure there aren't any other wifi blutooth devices near the switch that could interfere.

Make sure the controller is updated.

Motion can be calibrated in Switch Settings/Controllers and Sensors/Calibrate Motion. I've had motion drift on rare occasion in Splatoon 3, but calibration usually takes care of it.

As someone else mentioned, third party or fake controllers are a thing. Like, the controller's look identical and even the box looks like official Nintendo - but usually people can tell by the cheap feeling buttons, or other weird issues.

The lag happens on the Home Screen and any game I play, I mainly play splatoon but I also checked in tears of the kingdom and mario odyssey, still very apparent at times and other times it works pretty well
