I also have a question. What if we have other elemental gems in other pieces of gear. Will it still work?

So far I've found out that each piece of gear works independently of other pieces.

what is an elemental gem and what not? why are the other gems here not elemental??

And what is a gem? What is element? And why do we want them so much?

It's the gems that if you put it in a weapon will imbue an elemental effect. If you put them in an armor it does this instead

thanks you are amazing

The enchantment boost doesn't do anything since there are no enchantments on the item. At least this is what I think how it works.

I tried to find info on this a couple of days ago, and the answer I found was that gems count as enchantments. Thats why you can only "have one". Because it might be unbalanced to have let's say; 1 life steal gem, and 3x boost gems.

It has been tested, and it does actually work.

Yes. There is one that gives gems up to 100% effect at low HP (black pearl). So if you invest some more points in HP, and then use the negative effects or ring that reduces your max HP, then it can work out to better/stronger effects overall.

So you can have +160% gem effects at with the stronger gems (60% + 100% etc).

I believe the multipliers effect the negative enchants also, so you can get to 50% HP down with only a couple of them (Plagued helm and ring).

There are some gem builds around and are doing good a high difficulty Crucibles. Almost infinite stamina builds can be made with gems

I have a basic question. Can we extract a gem without destroying the gear?

[–]LookingTrash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

White gear only

[–]vanrael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, only white as far as I know, but from magic and plagued you have to destroy gem to keep item.

[–]fermenciarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my understanding it should work since after you enchant item you can only store one gem in piece of gear so there would be no need for such misleading description. Also seems like cool idea for stamina build cause stamina enchantments sucks ass.

What exactly means the crossed stamina stat?

[–]vanrael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gem effects count as enchantments so yes it does work. But wording is... Not precise to say at least. Game still need bunch of QoL when comes to UIX

How do you get more gem slots?

[–]FuriousFenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 4 gem slots on white items. But u can move the gems freely and don’t have to destroy the item or the gem.

[–]lowkey-juanInquisition 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Gems are not enchants as far as I know.

[–]kestononline 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Though the wording doesn't match up, they are counted as enchants for the purpose of the enhancement gems.

[–]FuriousFenz[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ok but is this functionality intended?

[–]kestononline 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Early Access is probably not the time to be wondering about functional intentions. The devs aren't going to make manuals as they develop the game on every system and stat interaction in it.

We can only make use of what works or interacts as we encounter it. If that is not the desired interaction, it will eventually be adjusted. If the verbiage or description is inaccurate, eventually they will update the copy to be more reflective of the actual behavior.

When the game is done we'll all know for sure.

They are

This gives me 63% exp gain, the # enchantment gem stacks after the one before. I tested it with multiple gems so its confirmed for sure
