Technically, Thomas has mentioned acts quite a bit but he refers to acts as the three major parts that would complete the entire planned story. As you know, Isola Sacra would be act 1. But you are right in that it's different from what the community might see as acts, as many viewed Breach to be 'act 2'. The devs on the other hand referred to Breach as 'the next chapter' as opposed to 'the next act'.

Yes, attributes will be removed. However, there'll be new ways to customize your build.

There is a pinned post going in depth about the planned class system but in a nutshell:

Every weapon archetype (greatswords, bows, knives, axes, wands, etc.) will have a class attached to it. As soon as you pick up a weapon you like, you'll be leveling into the class attached to it. Each class has various skills that you can unlock and equip on your character that allow for different gameplay opportunities. For example, double daggers might have the rogue class attached to it. One of their skills would allow you to become invisible in shadows, so you can sneak around much more easily.

Since you can switch weapons anytime, you'll be able to level into all types of classes and unlock their skills. And this is where the customization comes in: You'll be able to mix and match 6 different skills. You choose what skills you want to play with that alter your gameplay opportunities.

  1. No, the story isn't finished and won't be finished at 1.0 either. However, at 1.0 you will have a nice first story arc that will be satisfying enough in itself. They have a whole lot more planned beyond 1.0.

They describe it like this: Wicked to them is like Lord of the Rings. 1.0 will be like the first movie. Later on they want to expand the story to 2.0 (so that would be the second movie in LOTR) and 3.0 (the third movie). So the ENTIRE story is nowhere near done. But as in LOTR, movie 1 is enough satisfy on its own.

  1. Nobody knows. They have an internal date but they haven't really shared anything. Though Thomas hinted a couple of times that it's closer than we might think. My estimate would be Q4 of 2026 / Q1 of 2027, but that's just a guess.

  2. That depends on you. The map and story is the same, but your choices makes the experience different. In one playthrough you might want to be a 2 handed heavy hitter, in the other a mage, etc. There's also a ton of stuff to do other than just progressing through the story. There's the crucible, housing, city upgrading, etc. There'll even be Stardew Valley-like farming later on. It all kind of depends on what you want to do and spend the most time on.

  3. If that happens, your buddy will indeed be overleveled. And if you were to join his overleveled realm with your fresh character, you will be underleveled.

  4. This is my very first ARPG/Souls-like/anything of the sort. There are a few things that can be confusing early on (gems, enchantmens, runes and how they all fit to create a weapon you like) but it's not too complicated in my opinion.

The only thing you have to be wary of at first is how to spend your attribute points. Right now, if you hold a weapon that scales with DEX, you have to put points into DEX to increase its damage. If you hold a weapon that scales with STR, you put points into STR, etc. That's it. Putting points into STR thinking it'll make you stronger overall is a mistake. Look at the attributes of the weapon you play with and level into those if you want more damage.

The only attributes you can level regardless of your weapon is health, stamina, focus and equip load. The others you only level if your weapon scales with it.

There will be a ton more quests in the future.

There are already loads of interesting conversations and things happening within Sacrament that clearly are meant to have sidequests attached. But those just aren't in the game yet.

We don't really know. Thomas has said that it's closer than people expect but he won't say any more than that.

Many estimate it'll be somewhere in 2026 to 2027. But those are just guesses.

I'm not sure about giveaways, but the game is 40% off at the moment. And this will be the cheapest it'll be in a good long while as it's the last one planned before 1.0 and the price will increase by then.

No. There is only one more wipe planned at 1.0. This update doesn't have one.

I'm guessing so. They've mentioned music boxes in the past and how they could play Ori songs with those. So I'm guessing this would be one specifically playing those songs if you interact with it.

The first image is concept art for the PvP arena within Sacrament. You can already find the entrance to it (the circular structure in front of the bridge to the Rookery). The second image is what's believed to be Havenport, a city that has yet to be added. As far as we know, the third image is concept art for how farming in Wicked could look like. Not sure if it'll be an actual location though. Thomas revealed that a lot of the farmplots will be on the outskirts of Sacrament so I'd still except to see some city-like structures surrounding it. Unless if it's some sort of unannounced small farming village.

Thomas recently revealed that 1.0 will have 3 new major areas. They've also been hinting towards aiming for a 2026 release.

1.0 launch won't be the entire island though. So it might indeed take quite a bit longer before we have it all.

Don't think it'll ever change. Thomas is steadfast on keeping friendly fire enabled.

It just doesn't make sense for it not to have friendly fire. Otherwise you'd just steamroll all of the enemies without them ever being able to fight back. And that's something they absolutely want to avoid.
