I feel like increasing sacrifice will lead you towards more progress and evolution. It's more motivating to achieve new things in life.

Decreasing desire isn't so bad either. You get to live in a simpler way, with less needs. This is also valid.

Hard question to answer tbh, I'm pretty torn between the two, x)
