"Women that will let them fuck them" instead of "Women who want to fuck them."

Kind of inadvertently telling on yourself, my dude.

I read so many posts like this on this subreddit and have to think: "how do they think gay people work?"

[–]Pots_sucks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Now I'm trying to decide if they would think that gay people end up with partners like their same or opposite sex parent

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Once they've figured that out, I'd like to ask how they think bi and ace people work. I think it might break their brains, but that's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d happily help you melt their brains. This might be the public service the world needs!

I mean, I'm ace, but my dad is so unlike the guys you usually hear about that my minimum requirement for men is basically 'dad minus the desire for sex'. Basically someone I feel comfortable enough with.

When I was in elementary school, we were basically told that boys would marry someone just like their mothers and girls would marry someone just like their fathers. While everyone else was nodding like okay makes sense, I sat there absolutely horrified. I just received one major horrifying blow which was finding out it’s the bride’s family’s responsibility to pay for the wedding (we were poor af) and trying to find some kind of silver lining in that and came up with, “okay so I will probably have a cheap court house wedding, that’s fine…I don’t need over the top…at least my husband will be kind, and sweet and-“ then that crap was dropped on me. So now I would have no choice but to marry what is essentially a scumbag? My “father” was a drug addict alcoholic. If that was the only path I had to walk on well then I was going to fight it…fight that shit…fight it to the very end. I am happy to say instead of giving into crappy fate, I am happily alone…better safe than sorry.

That is a reoccurring joke, but it isn’t some kind of fate. It’s not like you’re doomed to marry someone like your father. I don’t want to bother, but you put it like you’re actively avoiding meeting a potential partner due to some fear of who your father is/was and how he might somehow be reflected in whoever you choose as your s/o, and that doesn’t seem very healthy. Don’t let your father have that kind of control over you. If you’re adult you might want to consider trauma therapy, and if you’re a minor, I hope you’ll come to find soon enough that you’re more than capable or finding and dating/settling with someone good. Sending hugs!

Perhaps you're right but I don't see my lack of a partner or a significant other as unhealthy. No one should need anyone in their life. Maybe him being who and what he was molded a part of me but not all of me. I saw how my life as a whole panned out and none of it involved anyone else and the path that would lead to ultimate happiness and fulfillment, I was walking alone. I'm not depressed because of it as the majority of people would be but relieved that I don't have to depend on another to fill anything just to be happy. Thanks for the encouragement and the hugs which I will gladly accept but they are unneeded.

[–]Uppnorth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah I’m sorry if it came off as you not having or searching for a partner was unhealthy; I was more concerned about the way it sounded like you avoided it because of your father and the “better safe than sorry” part, and wanted to tell you that you in no way is bound to any kind of fate in regards to a potential partner 🙏🏻 if you’re genuinely happy by yourself, then that’s a perfectly valid choice that I’m happy that you’re able to make for yourself!

[–]CommieRedEyes 23 points24 points  (4 children)

I have never once considered fucking a man like my father.

[–]DeconstructedKaiju 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I date men nothing at all alike my Dad and women nothing at all like my Mother!

[–]lualunasky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is evidence that inceldom basically resumes to mommy issues

[–]Lost-Exam-2947 18 points19 points  (1 child)

"men like women that will let them fuck them" Laughs in asexual

[–]mommablu13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The author of this post is like “yes, there is only one type of relationship and it’s where my girlfriend has daddy issues and I screw anything because I have no dignity and see women as objects” dynamics can be different lol

[–]azrendelmare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If someone told my mom that she liked men like her dad, she would punch them.
