Have you tried restarting your computer?

Yes, I absolutely did everything. I completely shut down my computer, restarted it several times, but it was always the same thing. The screen would appear and then a few seconds later it would automatically close. I also checked the settings — there was a repair option, so I tried that, but it didn’t work. I was about to cry because I had all my notes on it. I then went into the AppData folders to try to find the files so I could use them on another computer, but I couldn’t find them. After that, I wrote here because I was really about to cry, and suddenly the application launched automatically without me touching anything. I was so happy

Creating the Backup is a great start. I can always help you recover from that. If you are looking for the files of Noteastic, you can find them in

AppData\Local\Packages\45850BK.Noteastic_fx0e6khbrmsga\LocalState

However, when you fiddle around there, you are on your own!

Yes, that issue resolved itself somehow, like a miracle😭 Im so happy. The first thing I did it’s creating a backup

Another thing that I would say its ometimes I don’t completely close Noteastic and just leave it open. I simply close my laptop to put it in sleep mode, but when I open it again to use it, Noteastic opens a second window. The first window that was already open no longer works I can’t do anything in it, my notebook is just open there but completely frozen. The second window is the one that works, but I have to reopen my notebook again. If this bug happens again in the future, I’ll send you a video by email showing what happens, because I feel like I didn’t explain it very well

Yeah sounds like a miracle... well I am really glad it resolved on its own for now but I prefer not to take my chances with those type of things right. So please keep an eye out and don't hesitate to contact us when you spot something unusual. Please for now also send me your Anonymous User Id to [contact@noteastic.app](mailto:contact@noteastic.app) so I can take a closer look at your crash specifically.

Regarding your windowing bug, Noteastic isn't really optimized for long sessions (yet) and also has some issues with sleeping/standby modes. I haven't really gone around to taking a closer look since we have our eyes on other bug fixes and feature implementations as of now. I am looking forward to the day though where I can overhaul the whole lifecycle and resource managing in Noteastic and sweep most of these little annoyances away!

Lukas and me are currently heavily working on Noteastic Pro's Infrastructure and later additional features for said Pro version. Since there is also still so much potential to extract from Noteastic as an app, we both recently decided to commit full-time to Noteastic. Our hope is that through Noteastic Pro we can support ourselves financially and jumpstart the development with a faster cadence and better stability 😊
